Diagnostic Value of Quantitative Dynamic Enhanced MRI in Bone Tumors
Objective:To explore and analyze the diagnostic value of quantitative dynamic enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in bone tumors.Methods:72 patients with bone tumor admitted to our hospital from April 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects. It was confirmed by pathological examination that all patients were given quantitative dynamic enhanced MRI to record the imaging characteristics. The diagnostic value of quantitative dynamic enhanced MRI was evaluated with pathological examination as the gold standard. Results:Among the 72 patients,40 were pathologically diagnosed as benign tumors and 32 as malignant tumors. There was no significant difference between the two groups in gender, age, body mass index, location of bone tumors, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure(P>0.05).The proportions of bone destruction, bone margin blur, calcification and limb involvement on MRI in the malignant tumor group were 78.1%,93.8%,81.3% and 90.6%,respectively,which were higher than 35.0%,47.5%,40.0% and 35.0% in the benign tumor group, and the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The low signal ratio of T1WI and T2WI sequences in the malignant tumor group was 78.1% and 81.3%,respectively,which were higher than 47.5% and 50.0% of the benign tumor group(P<0.05).The quantitative dynamic enhanced MRI parameters, such as extracellular space volume fraction, volume transport constant and rate constant,in the malignant tumor group were higher than those in the benign tumor group, and the differences between groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Among the 72 patients,31 cases were malignant tumors and 41 cases were benign tumors. The sensitivity and specificity of quantitative dynamic enhanced MRI for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant bone tumors were 96.7% and 92.9% .Conclusion:Patients with malignant bone tumors are mostly accompanied by decreased bone function and low signal in MRI,accompanied by abnormal quantitative dynamic enhancement parameters.Quantitative dynamic enhancement MRI has high sensitivity and specificity in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant bone tumors.
