Application Effect of Clown Care Based on Comfort Theory in Postoperative Rehabilitation of Children with Supracondylar Fracture of the Humerus
Objective:To explore the application effect of clown care based on comfort theory in postoperative rehabilitation of children with supracondylar fractures of the humerus. Methods:A total of 82 children with supracondylar fracture of humerus treated in Third People's Hospital of Jining City from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the study objects by convenient sampling method, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group received conventional postoperative nursing intervention, and the observation group received clown care intervention based on comfort theory on the basis of the control group. The pain degree scores, bone healing(Fernandez-Esteve callus score)and family satisfaction of the children were compared between the two groups. Results:On the 3rd and 5th day after surgery, the pain degree scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At the 2nd,5th,and 8th week after surgery, the Fernandez-Esteve callus scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of family members in the observation group was 92.68%,which was higher than 53.66%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of clown care based on the comfort theory in the postoperative rehabilitation of children with supracondylar fracture of humerus can reduce the postoperative pain of children, promote bone healing, and improve the satisfaction of their families.
