Effect of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation Therapy Combined with Core Stabilization Training on Stroke Patients with Hemiplegia
Objective:To investigate the effect of neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy combined with core stabilization training on stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods:A total of 140 stroke patients with hemiplegia admitted to Shangrao Central Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into a control group and a study group according to random number table method, with 70 cases in each group. The control group was given core stability training intervention, the study group was given neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy intervention on the basis of the control group.Lower extremity function, balance function, walking ability, occurrence of adverse reactions and daily living ability were compared between the two groups. Results:After intervention, the scores of Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Lower Extremity and Berg Balance Scale in both groups were higher than before intervention, the study group were higher than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).After the intervention, the time of"stand up and walk"timing test in both groups were shorter than before the intervention, the study group was shorter than the control group,Functional Ambulation Category Scale scores in both groups were higher than before the intervention, and the study group was higher than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 5.71%,which was lower than 18.57%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the Barthel Index score of both groups was higher than before intervention, the study group was higher than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The electrical muscle stimulation therapy combined with core stability training can effectively restore lower limb function, balance ability and walking ability of stroke patients with hemiplegia, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, enhance patients'ability of daily living.
