Effect of Internal Fixation Surgery with Absorbable Screws in Patients with Metacarpophalangeal Oblique Fractures
Objective:To investigate the application value of absorbable screw internal fixation surgery in patients with metacarpophalangeal oblique fracture.Methods:Data of 84 patients with metacarpal oblique fractures admitted to Anning District Wanli Hospital of Lanzhou City from January 2020 to February 2024 were retrospectively analyzed,and were divided into a study group and a control group according to surgical methods,with 42 cases in each group.All patients were treated with conventional open reduction,microplate was used for internal fixation in the control group,absorbable screws were used for internal fixation in the study group.The surgical indexes,postoperative recovery,hand function improvement,serum indexes and the occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results:The operation time and fracture healing time of the study group were shorter than those of the control group,and the recovery time of the study group was longer than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of hand function recovery in the study group was 97.62%,which was higher than 80.95%in the control group,the difference was tatistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 days after operation,the levels of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α were increased in both groups,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),but there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in intraoperative blood loss and incision length between the two groups(P>0.05).The complication rate in the study group was 7.14%,which was lower than 14.29%in the control group,but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The use of absorbable screws for internal fixation of patients with metacarpophalangeal oblique fractures can shorten the operation time,speed up postoperative recovery and improve early hand function,but the postoperative recovery time is longer,and the appropriate surgical method can be selected according to the actual situation of patients.
