Objective:To investigate the effect of fumigation with traditional Chinese medicine in postoperative recovery of perianal abscess patients.Methods:A total of 80 perianal abscess patients treated in the Department of General Surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into a control group and a study group according to random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The two groups were treated with perianal abscess surgery.After surgery,the control group was fumigated with potassium permanganate and the study group was fumigated with Chinese medicine.The wound healing,pain degree score,inflammatory factor level and quality of life score were compared between the two groups.Results:The time of wound drainage,edema,hematochezia disappear and wound healing in the study group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing,the scors of pain visual Analogue Scale in the study group was lower than that in the control group,the levels of interleukin-6,interleukin-8 and tumor necrosis factor-α were lower than those in the control group,and the scores of physical function,daily life and sleep quality in the study group were lower than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation has a good application effect in the recovery of perianal abscess,which can promote wound healing,reduce pain and inflammatory reaction,and improve the quality of life of patients.
