Effect of Zoledronic Acid Combined with Calcitriol on Patients with Osteoporotic Thoracolumbar Compression Fractures
Objective:To investigate the effect of Zoledronic Acid combined with Calcitriol on patients with osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fracture(OVCF).Methods:A total of 80 patients with OVCF treated in Liling Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2020 to July 2022 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into a control group and an experimental group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with percutaneous vertebroplasty, the control group was given Zoledronic Acid, and the experimental group was given Calcitriol based on the control group.Bone mineral density, pain degree, inflammatory level, lumbar function, daily activity ability and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After 6 months of treatment, bone density,Activities of Daily Living scale Scores in both groups were higher than before treatment, and the experimental group was higher than the control group, the pain Visual Analogue Scale scores,interleukin-1β,interleukin-6 and Oswestry Disability Index scores in both groups were lower than before treatment, and the experimental group was lower than the control group, with statistical significances(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 10.00%,which was lower than 17.50%in the control group, but there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Zoledronic Acid combined with Calciferriol in the treatment of OVCF patients is effective, can promote the improvement of bone mineral density index, reduce the level of inflammatory factors, relieve pain, enhance lumbar function, improve daily activity ability, and is safe and reliable.
