Efficacy and Safety of the Combination of Xiakucao Oral Liquid and Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets in the Treatment of Patiens with Hashimoto Thyroiditis with Hypothyroidism
Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of the combination of Xiakucao Oral Liquid and Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets in the treatment of hashimoto thyroiditis(HT)with hypothyroidism.Methods:A total of 84 patients with hypothyroidism admitted to Lanling County People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected and divided into a control group and a study group according to random number table method,with 42 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets,and the study group was treated with Prunella Oral Liquid on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,TCM symptom score,thyroid function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate of the study group was 92.86%higher than 76.19%of the control group;the scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms of anterior neck swelling,neck distension,chest discomfort and fatigue in the study group were lower than those in the control group;the serum free triiodothyronine level and serum free thyroxine level of the study group were higher than those of the control group,and the thyrotropin level was lower than that of the control group,with statistical significances(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 7.14%,which was not statistically significant compared with 11.90%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of the combination of Xiakucao Oral Liquid and Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets in the treatment of hashimoto thyroiditis with hypothyroidism is significant,which can effectively improve the symptoms and thyroid function of patients,and is relatively safe.
