Effect Analysis of Heat Sensitive Moxibustion Combined with Heat Ironing on Patients with Limb Swelling and Pain after Hip Joint Replacement
Objective:To observe the effect of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with heat-ironing on limb swelling and pain after hip replacement. Methods:A total of 90 patients with limb swelling and pain after hip replacement admitted to the Department of Orthopedics in Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into group A,B and C according to random number table method, with 30 cases each.Group A was given routine nursing;group B was given heat-sensitive moxibustion on the basis of group A;group C was given hot ironing on the basis of group B.The swelling and pain degree of the hip replacement site and hip function of the three groups were compared. Results:Five and seven days after operation, the swelling degree score of group C were lower than those of group A and group B,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Five days after surgery, the pain Visual Analogue Scale score of group C were lower than those of group A and group B,with statistical significances(P<0.05).Seven days after operation, the VAS score of group C was lower than that of group A,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 2 weeks after operation, the Harris hip function Scale(HHS)score of group C was higher than that of group A,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after operation, the HHS score of group C were higher than those of group A and group B,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Early application of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with traditional Chinese medicine hot ironing in the treatment of patients with swelling and pain after hip arthroplasty can improve swelling degree, relieve pain of affected limb, and improve hip joint function.
