Objective:To compare the effects of space balance and measurement osteotomy on total knee arthroplasty(TKA)patients. Methods:A total of 60 TKA patients admitted to Feicheng People's Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected as study objects and randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with osteotomy and the study group was treated with space balance.Perioperative indexes, pain degree, knee motion, knee functional recovery, knee stability, quality of life and complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The amount of blood loss and operation time in the study group were less than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After surgery, the visual analogue score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the scores of knee motion,Lysholm,Three months after surgery, the pain Visual Analog Scale of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the knee motion,Lysholm knee function score,American Hospital for Special Surgery knee joint score and all dimension scores in the health survey summary table were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was 6.67%,compared with 16.67%in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with measurement osteotomy, the application of gap balance in TKA can help shorten the operation time, reduce intraoperative blood loss, reduce postoperative pain, improve knee joint motion, restore knee joint function, improve knee joint stability, improve quality of life, and have certain application value with fewer complications.
