Effects of Acupuncture Combined with Oral Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsule on Patients with Cervical Spondylosis of Vertebral Artery Type
Objective:To evaluate the effect of acupuncture combined with oral Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsule on vertigo symptoms and cervical spine function in patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type(CSA).Methods:A total of 86 CSA patients admitted to the First People's Hospital of Pingyuan County from June 2021 to August 2022 were selected as the study objects,and divided into a control group and a study group according to random number table method,with 43 cases in each group.The control group received oral Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsule treatment,and the study group received acupuncture combined with oral Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsule.Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy,vertigo symptoms,cervical spine function,hemodynamic indexes and serological factors were compared between the two groups.Results:The clinical effective rate of the study group was 95.35%,which was higher than 79.07%of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of Evaluation Scale for Cervical Vertigo and nitric oxide level in both groups were higher than before treatment,and the study group were higher than the control group,the vertebral-basilar artery mean blood flow velocity,peak systolic blood flow velocity and end-diastolic blood flow velocity in both groups were faster than before treatment,the study group were faster than the control group,the average scores of Neck Disability Index and fibrinogen in both groups level were lower than before treatment,and the study group were lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture at Jingjiaji points and other points combined with oral Flunarizine Hydrochloride Capsule can effectively treat the CSA,which is beneficial to relieve the patient's symptoms of vertigo,improve the cervical spine function and hemodynamic indexes,and adjust the level of serological factors.
