Effect of Electroacupuncture Combined with Red Light Irradiation on the Gastrointestinal Function of Pediatric Patients after Appendicitis Perforation Surgery
Objective:To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of electroacupuncture in conjunction with red light irradiation in pediatric patients after appendicitis perforation surgery, and its influence on gastrointestinal motility and function. Methods:A total of 79 pediatric patients with postoperative perforation of appendicitis who were treated in Yicheng District People's Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into a control group(n=39)and a study group(n=40)by numerical random table method. The control group was treated with electroacupuncture, and the study group was treated with electroacupuncture combined with red light irradiation. Both groups were treated continuously for 14 days.Gastrointestinal function, therapeutic effect and the occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:Bowel sound recovery time, first exhaust time and first defecation time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The effective rate of the study group was 95.00%,which was higher than 76.92%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was 5.00%,which was lower than 20.51%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Electroacupuncture combined with red light irradiation can effectively promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function in pediatric patients after perforation of appendicitis, improve the therapeutic effect and reduce the incidence of complications.
