Effect Analysis of Percutaneous Pedicle Screw Fixation Combined with Percutaneous Vertebroplasty in the Treatment of Patients with Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fracture
Objective:To compare the efficacy of percutaneous pedicle screw fixation(PPSF)combined with percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)in the treatment of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture(OVCF).Methods:A total of 102 patients with OVCF admitted to Xintai People's Hospital from May 2021 to February 2024 were selected as research objects and divided into a study group and a control group according to random number table method, with 51 cases in each group. The control group received PVP treatment, and the study group received PPSF combined with PVP treatment. The intraoperative and postoperative indexes, morphology of injured vertebra, vertebral function, quality of life and the occurrence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The intraoperative blood loss in the study group was more than that in the control group, and the operation time was longer than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).At 3 months after surgery, the compression ratio of injured vertebrae and Oswestry Disability Index scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group, while the Health Survey Summary Table scores were higher than those in the control group, the Cobb angle was bigger than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The complication rate of both groups were 3.92%,with statistical significance(P>0.05).There were no significant difference in the amount of bone cement injection and length of hospital stay between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:PPSF combined with PVP in the treatment of OVCF can effectively of injured vertebra, promote the recovery of vertebral function, and guarantee the quality of life of patients, but it will increase the operative time and intraoperative blood loss.
