Effect of Progressive Rehabilitation Training Combined with Lumbar Traction on Lumbar Function in Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective:To investigate the effect of progressive rehabilitation training combined with lumbar traction on lumbar function in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods:A total of 80 LDH patients treated in Inner Mongolia Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into a control group and a study group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received lumbar traction treatment, and the study group received progressive rehabilitation training on the basis of the control group. The lumbar function, lumbar pain degree, lumbar joint motion, inflammation indexes and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results:After intervention, the scores of Oswestry Disability Index and Pain Visual Analogue Scale in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the lumbar posterior extension, lumbar anterior flexion, lumbar right flexion, lumbar left flexion and lumbar maximum range of motion in the study group were greater than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of procalcitonin, matrix metalloproteinase-3 and tumor necrosis factor-α in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores in the MOS Item Short Form Health Survey of the study group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The intervention of progressive rehabilitation training combined with lumbar traction in LDH patients can effectively improve lumbar motion, inhibit inflammatory response, relieve pain, and improve lumbar function and quality of life.
