Effects of Empathy Nursing Combined with Rehabilitation Training on Cognitive Function and Psychobehavioral Symptoms in Elderly Patients with Vascular Dementia
Objective:To explore the effect of empathy nursing combined with rehabilitation training in elderly patients with vascular dementia.Methods:A total of 106 elderly patients with vascular dementia admitted to Tianjin Beichen Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 53 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing,and the observation group received empathy nursing combined with rehabilitation training.The cognitive function,psychobehavioral symptoms,daily living ability,quality of life and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:After nursing,the scores of the mini-mental state examination and the quality of life-Alzheimer's disease scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the scores of the neuropsychiatric inventory and the activities of daily living were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 98.11%,which was higher than 83.02%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Empathy nursing combined with rehabilitation training for elderly patients with vascular dementia is helpful to improve cognitive function,improve mental symptoms and daily living ability,and improve quality of life.Patients have high satisfaction with this nursing program,which has certain clinical application value.
