Reflections on Kindergarten Teaching from the Perspective of Whitehead's Process Education Philosophy
Whitehead is the founder of the philosophy of process education.He understands modern edu-cation with a holistic vision and an integrated and diverse methodology,and constructs an educational philoso-phy characterized by creativity,vitality,freedom and harmony.Based on the Whitehead process education phi-losophy,looking at the current situation of kindergarten teaching in my country,its utilitarian teaching purpose stifles children's creativity,the subject-oriented teaching content is out of children's lives,and the highly controlled teaching process ignores children's subjectivity and one-sidedness.Teaching evaluation affects the harmonious development of young children.Whitehead's educational philosophy suggests that we should regard the teaching process of kindergarten as the growth process of children's life,stimulate children's creative spir-it,return to children's life,respect children's personality,and emphasize children's harmonious development.
