Preparation and Antibacterial Properties of Metal Loaded Organic Framework Nanofiber Dressings
Developing wound dressings that inhibit bacterial infections to treat complex wound healing proces-ses has always been a research hotspot. The preparation of Cu MOF(HKUST-1)doped polyacrylonitrile(PAN)fi-bers for antibacterial purposes by blending electrospinning, and the improvement of the hydrophilicity of the fiber membrane by adding polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP).MOF-PAN@PVP fibers exhibit satisfactory physical properties, such as water absorption and water vapor permeability.Due to the incorporation of HKUST-1,MOF-PAN@PVP fibers exhibit good antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. At the same time,cyto-toxicity tests have shown that MOF-PAN@PVP fibers have biocompatibility and can support cell adhesion, showing the potential to become a wound dressing.
