Bai Wei's novel The Bombs and Birds shows the destiny trend of a new generation of women from enlightenment to revolution.The image construction of the protagonists Yu Yue and Yu Bin mainly sum-marizes the two types of women participating in the national revolution.In the face of the violent conflict be-tween revolutionary ideals and reality,Bai Wei explores the transformation of women's mental course with her own experience,and writes a text with gender experience,which breaks through the imaginative shaping of revolutionary women by male writers.Bai Wei embarked on the path of literary creation because of the unity of inevitability and contingency.Her creation predicament and anxiety of expression could not be separated from the creation purpose of using pen as"weapon"to complain society and express the difficult situation of revolu-tionary women.
