All the sample texts in this study are collected from scenic spots in Wuhan. The thesis starts by identifying the translation problems in the current practice of translating scenic spot signs under the guidance of Skopos theory,and goes on to analyze the errors in details and suggests possible improvement by offering the author’s own versions. It is hoped that the in-depth analysis and exposition in the present study may shed some new light on the translation of scenic spots signs.
