With the constant development of quality education and implementation of the new curriculum reform, the status of art education has gradually risen up in primary and secondary education. Thus, art education plays an indispensable role in student quality development. However, art is not the designated examination subject in the current curriculum system. Students hardly put much time and energy into the subject. As an art teacher that implements new curriculum reform, I will impart the art knowledge close to life rather than the theoretical one. The contents that teachers teach should be helpful to students’ life as well as their physical and mental development. The concept of the new curriculum reform is to know the art subject from education and break the subject-centered traditional pattern. In this way, we teachers, sparing no effort to connect art activities with students’ life experience, will help students increase their interest in the art subject.
