Research on dugability test technology of 35 000 ton channel in Weifang Port
This paper studies the sediment characteristics along a 35 000 ton waterway in a certain area through a combination of indoor geotechnical tests and in-situ testing of undisturbed soil samples from Weifang Port.By comprehensively analyzing the results of indoor tests and in-situ testing, the physical and mechanical properties of seabed soil were obtained, and a chart for evaluating the dredgeability of waterway dredging was proposed. The research results indicate that dredging outside the entrance is difficult, with good excavatability at the near end of the waterway and acceptable excavatability at the far end.Nearly 40%of the waterway dredging is difficult and challenging. The results of the research on the difficulty level of dredging play a guiding role in the selection of dredger types, determination of construction areas and vessel allocation, formulation and adjustment of construction plans for dredgers,as well as project schedule control and cost estimation.
