Research on hydrological sediment evolvement and coastal evolution in Changle sea area of Fujian
The hydrological sediment environment and the evolution characteristics of seabed in the Changle sea area of Fujian Province were investigated in this paper, based on measured underwater topography and hydrological and sediment data. The research results indicate that the Changle sea area is a sandy coast controlled by bedrock capes, featuring strong waves, low tidal current velocity, low suspended sediment content in the water column, and a long-term stable coastline and seabed topography. The normal wind and wave directions in the research area are both NNE directions, and strong winds and waves are mainly affected by typhoons and cold waves. The research area is classified as a strong tidal sea area, with a maximum tidal range of 6.92 m and an average tidal range of 4.45 m.The current belongs to the regular semi-diurnal trend, with obvious characteristics of reciprocating flow. The distribution of sediment in the research sea area shows a horizontal distribution characteristic of coarse nearshore and fine in deepwater area. The nearshore sediment from north to south under wave action has a certain impact on coastal evolution.
