Three-dimensional simulation of local sediment scour and deposition around the groove for integrated underwater foundation plate based on FLOW3D
The integrated underwater foundation plate are a new type of foundation plate proposed for the exploitation of oil and gas resources in sea areas such as the navigation area of Bohai Sea.Local scour and deposition around the foundation plate is of significant importance for the engineering practice.Based on the Navier-Stokes equation of incompressible viscous fluid motion,a three-dimensional hydrodynamic numerical model around the integrated underwater foundation plate was established, and the local sediment scour and deposition under different particle sizes and velocities were simulated. The results show that when the sediment particle size is 0.005 mm,the local scour and deposition around the foundation plate is small because the sediment is difficult to erosion. When the particle sizes are 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm,sediment deposition thickness in the foundation groove could be about 1 m and 4 m under the influence of typical flow velocity, respectively.
