Impact of cutoff wall stiffness on the reinforcement effect of homogeneous earth dam in large thickness loess area
At present, there are few studies on the influence of cutoff wall reinforcement on the nonlinear static characteristics of dam body.In order to study the applicability of concrete cutoff wall in removing and strengthening dangerous earth-rock DAMS in the collapsible loess area with deep overburden on the Loess Plateau, this paper takes the earth-rock dam of Bajiazui Reservoir as the engineering background. The static characteristics of dam body, such as deformation, stress, shear stress level of dam body, stress deformation of dam body during construction period, deformation of dam body after reinforcement and stress of dam body after reinforcement are studied by finite element method. The results show that whether plastic concrete is added or rigid concrete is added, the dam permeability stability and dam slope stability can meet the requirements, but the rigidity of rigid concrete should not be too large to avoid serious cracks. The results can provide reference for similar projects.
