Naphthol is a commonly used coupling component of red azo pigments, which generates a large amount of high COD and high chromaticity phosphorus containing wastewater during its production process. This article uses acid precipitation combined with complexation extraction and activated carbon adsorption decolorization process to remove organic substances from naphthol AS wastewater, and analyzes the COD of each step of the wastewater to calculate the COD removal rate. Then, the wastewater filtered by activated carbon adsorption was evaporated and concentrated to obtain white phosphite solid that meets industry standards. The experimental results show that the process of acid precipitation, complexation extraction, and activated carbon adsorption decolorization can achieve the separation of organic matter and water in naphthol wastewater. The quality of phosphite obtained through evaporation and concentration meets industry standards, and this wastewater treatment method is close to green, suitable for industrial production.
