Synthesis and Properties of Soluble Polyimide Powders Containing 1H-Benzimidazole Groups
2-(4-aminophenyl)-5-aminobenzimidazole(APBIA)and bisphenol diether dianhydride(BPADA)were homopolymerized in N,N-dimethylacetamide(DM AC),and then imidized chemically to obtain a soluble polyimide resin solution, then adding ethanol into powders in a high-pressure homogenizer, the structure, thermal stability and mechanical properties of the polyimide were studied after filtering, washing and drying. The results showed that the introduction of 1H-benzimidazole group improved the heat resistance of the polyimide, and the introduction of bisphenol diether dianhydride unit improved the solubility and toughness of the polyimide,it is a new type of polyimide material with both solubility and mechanical properties.
