Preparation,Physicochemical Properties and Injection Effect of Agarose Microspheres Gel
In order to solve the problems of short filling period and high injection risk of fillers on the market, agarose microspheres with uniform particle size were prepared with agarose as raw material by emulsion curing method. To investigate the physical and chemical properties of the microsphere gel and evaluate its feasibility as a filler gel for facial injection.Under the action of high frequency, agarose aqueous solution and oil phase were homogenized to obtain small size agarose microspheres. The injectable agarose microspheres were obtained by curing with curing agent under alkaline condition.Microspheres with average particle size between 25 and 40 μm are used for gel preparation.Orthogonal test confirmed that the optimal preparation technology was reaction temperature 50 ℃,water bath oscillation rate 150 r/min and reaction time 8 h.The maximum extrusion force of the gel was less than 20 N at 30 mm/min.The viscoelastic test results show that the gel forms a relatively stable three-dimensional network structure. At the same time, cytotoxicity and local reaction after subcutaneous implantation in rabbits proved that the gel had good biocompatibility as a filler, and the degradation rate was slow, and the filling cycle was longer than sodium hyaluronate gel.The results indicate that agarose microspheres gel as a new injection gel is expected to be applied in the field of plastic surgery.
