Effect of Pyrolysis Temperature on Physicochemical Properties of Pristine Tea Waste Biochar
This article uses tea waste(TW)as raw material to prepare biochar(TW300,TW500,TW700 and TW900)at different pyrolysis temperatures(300,500,700 and 900℃).The biochar was characterized by BET,elemental analysis,XRD,XPS,and Raman, the adsorption performance of biochar on tetracycline(TC)in wastewater was investigated. The results showed that as the pyrolysis temperature increased, the specific surface area and pore volume of tea residue biochar first increased and then decreased. At high temperatures, biochar is prone to forming ordered graphite carbon structures. When the pyrolysis temperature reaches 700℃,microcrystalline structures are formed in biochar. The results of organic functional groups show that unsaturated aromatic groups such as C=O and C=C in biochar gradually decrease with the increase of pyrolysis temperature, gradually forming a graphene structure dominated by benzene rings, indicating the carbon structure defects of biochar began to gradually reduce, improving its graphitization degree and aromaticity.
