Preparation and Performance Study of Waterborne Conductive Antistatic Coatings for Petrochemical Storage Tanks
To address the safety hazards caused by the accumulation of charges during the storage and transportation processes of petrochemical storage tanks,as well as the poor corrosion resistance of waterborne antistatic coatings, conductive antistatic coatings were prepared using epoxy emulsion and conductive mica powder as the main raw materials.Carbon nanodots were synthesized via a hydrothermal method and added in different proportions to enhance the corrosion resistance of the coatings.Chemical immersion resistance tests, salt spray tests, and mechanical property tests were conducted on the coatings. The results showed that the coating using epoxy emulsion A and curing agent A as the film-forming materials,15%content of conductive mica powder, and 1%content of carbon nanodots exhibited the best performance.
