Cracking Analysis of Inner Wall Composite Layer of Carbon Washing Tower in Coal Chemical Gasification Unit
Carbon scrubber is the core equipment of coal chemical gasification unit. The inner wall composite layer of carbon scrubber in a coal-to-glycol gasification unit was tested, and a large area of pitting pits were found.Penetration testing was carried out,and a large area of cracks around the pitting pits were found, which were spider webs.Through the analysis of the chemical composition of the inner wall composite layer of the carbon washing tower, metallographic structure analysis, carbon washing tower working medium composition analysis, water bath water quality analysis. It is determined that the chloride ion content in the water bath water exceeds the standard and is weakly acidic. In the position of liquid level fluctuation and the position where the liquid is not easy to flow, the chloride ion is concentrated and aggregated to form chloride pitting and chloride stress corrosion.According to the test results,it is proposed that stable operation, control of chloride ion content and PH value of water bath, increase of fresh water supply, and material upgrading of inner wall composite layer are effective means to control the cracking of inner wall composite layer of carbon washing tower. The results provide a basis for the design and operation of similar process equipment.
