Research on Purification of Asphalt Smoke Particles by Rotating Super-Gravity Field
During asphalt heating and usage,many asphalt fume particles are produced.Traditional filtration methods tend to clog easily,and the purification rate of the spray tower water washing method is low.Also,the electrostatic capture method has some fire hazards.We investigated the impact of various factors on the removal rate of asphalt fume particulate matter.These included the rotary supergravity machine rotor outer chamber air intake,inner chamber water spray conditions,rotor speed,water spray,gas flow.The study revealed that increasing the rotational speed improves the removal rate of asphalt fume particles.This effect is more pronounced at low rotational speeds.At high rotational speeds,the effect of rotational speed on the removal rate slows down.The removal rate is lower without water spray.However,water spray can effectively enhance the removal rate.As the inlet gas flow rate increased,the removal rate decreased,and the residence time shortened.Under the optimized conditions in this study,the maximum removal rate was 99.2%.The study demonstrates that the super-gravity field efficiently purifies asphalt fume particles and offers a new technology for purifying such particles,which is environmentally significant and has practical applications.
