Good Practice in Environmental Management of Major Petrochemical Construction Projects
The petrochemical industry is one of the industries with severe environmental pollution, and its medium has high characteristics of permeability, corrosiveness, and toxicity. If a leak leaks into the ground,it will lead to groundwater pollution that is extremely difficult to control. The effective management of environmental protection technologies, facilities, and measures during the construction process of major petrochemical projects determines the true environmental protection effect that can be achieved after the project is put into operation.A major petrochemical construction project has achieved good practices in environmental management such as anti-seepage technology innovation, dust control, hazardous waste management, environmental sanitation management, and environmental monitoring. After time,it has achieved good results and has developed standardized anti-seepage construction drawings and other materials, which continue to be applied as construction drawings in multiple subsequent projects of the company.Based on years of experience in environmental management, the author has summarized and refined good practices in project environmental management,in order to provide valuable experience for future project environmental management.
