Research Progress on sII Type Hydrogen Hydrate Promoter
Hydrogen as the next generation clean energy carrier attracts more and more attention,search for an efficient material and method for storing hydrogen has been pursued relentlessly.The storage and transportation of hydrogen have been facing challenges due to its low density,high pressure,and easy leakage.Clathrates hydrates can safely and long-term storage of hydrogen under mild pressure and temperature conditions by adding promoter molecules,thus having enormous industrial application potential.This article comprehensively summarizes the research work on the storage of hydrogen in sII clathrates hydrates at both the molecular and macroscopic levels,and elaborates on the effects of different promoter molecules on the hydrogen storage capacity of hydrogen hydrates,to provide references for the research for efficient new hydrogen hydrate promoters and the industrial application of hydrate hydrogen storage.
