Simultaneous Determination of Six Inorganic Anions in Drinking Water by Ion Chromatography
The simultaneous determination of six common inorganic anions(fluoride, chloride, bromide, nitrite, nitrate and sulfate)in drinking water by ion chromatography was established.A hydrophilic IonPac AS17 anion exchange column was selected as the separation column and AG17-C as the anion protection column. The content of six target anions in drinking water was determined by conductivity detector after optimizing the test conditions such as injection volume, concentration of leaching solution, leaching procedure, flow rate and column temperature. The results show that when the sample volume was 25 μL,the six target anions had a linear relationship with their corresponding peak areas within a certain concentration range, and the correlation coefficients were all greater than 0.999.The minimum detected mass concentrations of fluoride, chloride, bromide, nitrite, nitrate and sulfate are 0.002,0.002,0.000 2,0.000 5,0.000 09 and 0.000 08 mg/L,respectively.The recovery rate of each sample was 87%~107%,and the relative standard deviation of the results was 0.70%~3.96%.The method has the advantages of good selectivity, high accuracy and convenient operation, and can be applied to the simultaneous determination of multiple anions in drinking water.
