Research on High Temperature Dehydration Technology of Offshore Super Heavy Oil
A certain offshore super heavy oil is rich in colloid and asphaltene, with high crude density, high viscosity, small oil-water density difference, poor crude flow, and serious oil-water emulsification, which will lead to slow dehydration speed and long dehydration cycle of thermochemical sedimentation.Due to the limited space of the offshore platform and the lack of thin oil resources, the conventional methods of mixing thin oil in onshore oil fields and sedimentation dehydration in large tanks for a long time cannot be adopted for the dehydration of the super heavy oil.Research was carried out on the high temperature dehydration technology of the super heavy oil,and high temperature resistant and efficient demulsifier was screened out. When the ultra-heavy oil with 15%~65% water content settles for 4 h under 150℃ high temperature and 0.6~0.7 MPa pressure, the water content of crude oil can reach <1%,and a good dehydration effect is achieved.According to the results of laboratory dehydration experiment, the process parameters of high temperature dehydration of offshore super heavy oil were obtained, the optimal demulsifier dosage, dehydration temperature and settling time were determined, and the second stage thermochemical dehydration process scheme of offshore super heavy oil was recommended.
