Design Optimization and Energy-saving Measures for Xylene Plant
Xylene,as a crucial petrochemical feedstock, has a wide range of applications, demanding high requirements for its production facilities. This paper focuses on the design optimization and energy-saving measures for a xylene plant. The basic composition, energy consumption, and the significance of design optimization and energy-saving are clarified.Based on this, two aspects, namely the addition of a recycling tower process and the introduction of heterogeneous thermal high-splitting process, are discussed for the design optimization of the xylene plant.Considering the energy consumption characteristics of the xylene plant, targeted energy-saving measures are proposed to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy waste during operation, thereby bringing about favorable economic benefits for the company.
