Application of Ionic Liquids in the Separation of Ethyl Acetate Ethanol Water System
Ethyl acetate, ethanol and water are common azeotrope systems in the chemical industry.Through designing extractive distillation, the separation of ethyl acetate, ethanol and water azetrope is simulated with ethylene glycol/1-hexyl-3-methylimidazole chloride ionic liquid as extraction agent, respectively.Sensitivity analysis is used to optimize the operation parameters of the extractive distillation processes. The results indicate that the purities of ethyl acetate, ethanol and water are all above 99.0%.The amount of extraction agent can save 94%,decline energy consumption by 31.2%,and total annual cost reduce 26.9%.The process using ionic liquid is the optimal process.
