Research Progress on Peony Seed Oil in Skin Care Efficacy
Peony seed oil is a novel type of edible oil,characterized by its abundant fatty acids,vitamins,sterol squalene,antioxidants,phenols and mineral elements.This paper provides an overview of the research progress on the efficacy of peony seed oil in skincare and explores its potential benefits in terms of sunscreen repair,antioxidant activity,damage protection,anti-inflammatory effects as well as moisturization.These effects are achieved through the absorption of ultraviolet rays,scavenging free radicals and safeguarding cells against oxidative damage.This review aims to enhance our understanding of the skincare properties associated with peony seed oil and promote its application in skincare products.
