Experimental Design for Evaluating Sunscreen Efficacy of Plant Extracts Using UV Spectrophotometry
Ultraviolet radiation,the primary external factor causing photoaging,poses a potential threat to skin health.Natural plant extracts,with their ultraviolet-absorbing properties,low toxicity or non-toxicity,as well as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects,serve as ideal raw materials for natural sunscreens.The detection of the sunscreen effect of plant extracts using a UV spectrophotometer is a simple and convenient method that is easy for students to understand and accept.This experimental process aims to enhance students'experimental skills,data processing,and charting abilities.Furthermore,it aims to deepen their understanding and application of professional knowledge,laying a solid foundation for future research work in related fields.
