Preparation and Performance Study of Bio-based Multi-functional Modified Epoxy Resin Anticorrosive Coating Materials
Utilized bio-based guaiacol as a raw material to synthesize tetrafunctional epoxy resins, which were then added to bisphenol A epoxy resin in different proportions with the aim of increasing the crosslink density of the coatings, thereby improving their temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.Through mechanical property testing, thermal property testing(DSC,TGA),and electrochemical property testing(EIS)of the tetrafunctional epoxy resins synthesized with varying proportions of bio-based guaiacol, the optimal addition amount was determined. It was found that adding 20%tetrafunctional epoxy resin synthesized with bio-based guaiacol yielded the best results.Experimental results showed that when 20%bio-based guaiacol epoxy resin was introduced, the glass transition temperature of the coating increased to 162.4 ℃.EIS testing indicated that after immersion in 3.5%NaCl solution for 24 hours, the impedance modulus remained at 2.19×1011 Ω·cm2,showing a significant improvement compared to pure bisphenol A epoxy resin cured coatings.
