Research Progress on Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Control Measures of Constructed Wetlands
As an environment friendly wastewater treatment process, constructed wetland has obtained large-scale applications with the advantages of low cost and low energy consumption. As constructed wetland releases greenhouse gases when treating sewage,it may weaken its ecological benefits and its superiority as a sustainable wastewater treatment process. It is particularly important to study the generation mechanism and influencing factors of greenhouse gas in the wastewater treatment process of constructed wetlands and to propose control measures. This article explores greenhouse gas emissions and influencing factors in constructed wetlands from multiple aspects such as substrates, plants, and microorganisms, and proposes possible optimization schemes from two aspects of engineering measures and operation management, aiming to provide a reference optimal pollutants and minimum greenhouse gas emissions for constructed wetlands.
