Portable GC-MS Determination of 39 VOCs in Ambient Air
In emergency monitoring of sudden environmental pollution, the use of portable gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),combined with gas sampling probes, enables rapid on-site quantitative analysis of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in the air. This paper establishes a method for the determination of 39 VOCs in ambient air using portable GC-MS,through the analysis of detection limits, precision, and recovery rates of these compounds. The detection limit of this method is 1.4~4.3 μg/m3,with a lower limit of 5.6~17.1 μg/m3,with a correlation coefficient of 0.990~0.998.This method is not only easy to operate and has a short analysis time, but also has high sensitivity, making it suitable for VOCs analysis in daily monitoring of environmental air and emergency monitoring of sudden environmental pollution.
