Dimer Recognition and Assembly Behavior in the Process of Crystallization of POSS-PDI-POSS
Perylene imide(PDI)molecules show great potential in the fields of photoelectric materials and fluorescence detection due to their unique photoelectric properties and superior chemical stability.POSS-PDI-POSS(PPP)has a unique dimeric element in its crystal structure due to the existence of large volume steric hindrance of imide site POSS,which inhibits the continuous π-π packing of PDI and maintains a high fluorescence quantum yield. Therefore, exploring the dimer assembly behavior and conditions of PPP crystal formation and constructing the structure-activity relationship between PPP molecular structure and its assembly and fluorescence behavior is conducive to expanding its application. In this paper, the key factors of PPP vapor diffusion single crystal culture were investigated. The PPP assembly environment was regulated by changing the composition ratio and solution concentration of chloroform and methanol solvent. The dimer formation process during PPP crystal precipitation was elucidated by means of the characteristic signals of dimer in UV-VIS absorption spectrum and fluorescence emission spectrum.
