Electrochemical Coupling Reaction of Imidazolyl Heterocyclic with Phenoxazine
The imidazoheterocyclic is not only recognized as a special structure in many natural products, but also has a special role in the structure of optoelectronic materials. This work develops an electrochemical coupling reaction of imidazoheterocyclic with phenoxazine via a simple electrochemical dehydrogenation C-H/N-H cross-coupling method. This method is characterized by high regioselectivity and excellent yields. The reaction is conducted in a straightforward single-compartment electrolytic cell, eschewing the use of metal catalysts or excess chemical oxidizing agents. The necessity for expensive Pt electrodes and elevated reaction currents is negated, and the reaction conditions are more lenient than those observed in previous methods.
