Research Progress of Latent Fingerprints Developed by New Nano Powders
Powder development is a traditional method widely used in fingerprint development technology to select the appropriate fingerprint powder for revealing latent fingerprints,depending on the type of object,environment,and fingerprint material.It is of great significance for criminal investigation work.In recent years,the complexity and diversity of the objects and fingerprint materials have raised higher requirements for fingerprint powder.New types of nano-powders have advantages such as large surface area,good adsorption,strong stability,and high resolvability.By categorizing the new types of nano-powders and focuses on their application in revealing latent fingerprints,and compares them with traditional powder development techniques,aiming to provide valuable reference for further promoting research on new types of nano-powders.
