Research on Vanadium Extraction Technology from Evaporated Mother Liquor by Bayer Process
Vanadium is an important rare metal,with a large demand and rapid development.In this paper,the application fields of vanadium resources,the production raw materials of vanadium extraction and the distribution of vanadium resources in China are introduced.The hazards of vanadium to the aluminum industry in the alumina production process are emphatically discussed.The principle,process and research status of extracting vanadium from mother liquor of Bayer process by crystallization,extraction and ion exchange are reviewed.The industrial application and economic benefits of crystallization are discussed with an aluminum plant in China as an example,and puts forward reasonable suggestions for alumina enterprises facing the same troubles.
