Study on the Effect of Flocculant Pretreatment on the Removal of Organic Matter from Waste Concentrates
Disposal of landfill leachate concentrate is a challenge for landfill operation and management, and its high concentration of organic matter can lead to fouling and blistering of MVR evaporation equipment. In order to solve this problem, the flocculation effect of various flocculants on organic matter in the concentrate was studied, and the best flocculant and flocculation conditions were clarified. The results showed that the flocculant PFS had the best flocculation effect,PAFC had the worst flocculation effect, and the optimum pH value of PAC,SC-101L and PSAF were 3,5 and 3,respectively,and the TOC removal rate was 75%,83%and 60%,respectively.The flocculation effect was positively correlated with the flocculant dosage, and the TOC removal rates of flocculants PAC,PSAF,PFS,SC-101L,and PAFC were 57%,46%,98%,64%,and 48%,respectively,at the optimum dosage.
