Preparation Study on The Properties of Starch Modified Slica Nanoparticles in Waterborne Coatings
Adhering to the concept of green environmental protection, this work uses starch to modify silica nanoparticles to better improve the compatibility and dispersion stability of nanoparticles in waterborne coatings, and at the same time,it is used as nano filler in waterborne coatings and its performance is tested.Considering resource saving and environmental protection comprehensively, the optimal reaction conditions were determined as follows:temperature was 35℃,starch dosage was 5 g.On the basis of the optimal reaction conditions, starch modified nano SiO2 particles were prepared, and the formation of hydrogen bond was characterized and analyzed by UV-vis diffuse reflection spectrum and infrared spectrum. In addition, the aforementioned pretreated modified nanoparticles have been applied to the preparation of water-based anti-corrosive coatings and their properties have been tested. The results show that the coating has the best mechanical properties when the SiO2 nanoparticle content is 4.5 percent.Best of epoxy/starch modified SiO2 coating electrochemical impedance test show that when starch modified SiO2 nanoparticle content of 4.5%when the coating effect is good, the coating in 3.5%NaCl solution immerse 7 d impedance value is still in the 2.23×106 Ω·cm2.
