As an important power source in today's society,heavy-duty engines are widely used in the fields of coal,non coal mines,agriculture,military,and transportation.The good operation of the engine cooling system determines the stability of the engine system,and coolant is the primary medium of the cooling system.The article investigates the current research status of heavy-duty engine coolant both domestically and internationally;Elaborated on the basic properties of coolant and its role in heavy-duty engines;Detailed introduction of the physical and chemical properties of coolant,as well as related testing methods;Analyzed the working principle and usage requirements of coolant in heavy-duty engines.Through in-depth research on coolant,the aim is to provide scientific theoretical support and selection criteria for engine manufacturers and users,thereby optimizing engine performance,reducing operating costs,and promoting the development of mechanical equipment in a more efficient and environmentally friendly direction.
