Progress in the Development And Fixation of latent Fingermarks byIodine
Iodine was initially used in the fields of medicine and food,and later introduced into the field of court science,becoming one of the commonly used reagents for latent fingerprints,with the unique advantage of high sensitivity and non-destructive development.This paper introduces the historical origin of the iodine fuming method,the principle,experimental process,development status and promotion effect of the traditional iodine fuming method,various improved iodine fuming methods and iodine fuming fixation techniques,which especially summarizes the comprehensive iodine fuming method and broadens the scope of the iodine fuming method.On the basis of the above,the factors influencing the effect of iodine fumigation were summarized from various angles,which were then applied to the setting of experimental variables.
