Source Analysis of Fatigue Curve Modification in B31.3-2022
In the latest version of B31.3-2022,the calculation formula for stress range factor had been updated.This is the first time in decades that B31.3 has updated the pipeline fatigue calculation formula.The slope of the stress range coefficient has changed from-1/5 to-1/3,and as the number of fatigue cycles increases,the stress range factor is more stringent.This article describes the reasons for its modification and corresponding principles based on its references,and compares its calculation results based on actual cases,providing reference for subsequent practical applications.
